To all parents and students,
We are all aware of the evolution and circumstances of COVID-19 spreading rapidly in Canada. Please understand this is a challenging time for all of us as well as the martial arts and sports organizations. As the COVID-19 situation continues to unfold our school would like to emphasize that all of the decisions that we are undertaking are based on the health and safety of all concerned. We do not want to put anyone in a position of unadvised risk. That said, in the best interest of public health, it has been decided to suspend all club activities effective immediately. We will reconvene the situation and tentatively schedule to re-open Saturday, April 4th, 2020. However, confirmation of re-opening will depend on further news regarding COVID-19. For all our students who are currently registered, please approach our staff members once our club re-opens to arrange extended times due to the club closure.
Please understand the exceptional hardship this places on clubs such as our own and the uncertainty we all face during this critical time. This was a difficult decision, but the number of cases has substantially increased. The declaration of global pandemic and the actions of our governments have made it clear that to protect our members; we need to minimize physical contact at this time.
In the meantime, everybody can do their part to reduce the spread of the virus, including:
- Frequently wash your hands with soap and water
- Cover your mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze
- If you have flu-like symptoms, inform the people around you and be considerate to yourself and those around you
- Avoid unnecessary travel
Thank you for your patience in these unprecedented times. We would like to reiterate that safety is our first priority, but we are nevertheless hopeful that this virus comes to an end so that we can reconnect and continue our regular daily routines.
Thanks and regards,
The Sunny Tang Family
